Home Making Tips: According to civil engineers, these blocks are light and construction takes place quickly, which helps in saving both labor and material. Besides, it controls heat and cold, which reduces electricity consumption.
AAC Block Use: Building a house is the biggest dream of everyone’s life. But, rising inflation has made this dream difficult. The prices of cement, sand, rebar and bricks are continuously increasing, due to which the cost of house construction has increased more than before. In such a time, a new technology has come as a big relief for the people. According to Civil Engineer Devdutt Shukla of Sidhi, now the use of AAC block (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) in building houses is increasing rapidly. In price it is almost the same as brick, but its biggest feature is that it is fast in construction. Labor costs seem less. The house gets ready in less time and less expense.
It is important to keep this in mind
Civil Engineer Shukla explains that AAC blocks are light, hence there is less load on the foundation and RCC structure on the walls made of it. This also saves rebar and concrete. It also prevents heat from coming inside the house, due to which the house remains cool in summer and warm in winter. Its direct benefit is in the form of savings in electricity and AC bills. However, there are some things worth noting. Once the blocks are installed, it is difficult to insert pipes or hammer nails into the wall, so planning has to be done in advance.
Get the work done by experienced people
Also, to work on this, experienced contractors and special technology like adhesive mortar are required. The engineer advised that it is better to use red bricks till the plinth level, so that cracks do not appear due to ground pressure and moisture. Civil engineer Shukla said that even though AAC blocks may seem expensive, if we look at the total expense, time, labor and energy savings, it can become the most popular option for house construction in the future. In the coming years, it can replace bricks and people’s dream of building a house can become affordable.
