Google has released a new December 2025 software update for its Pixel devices, which is available on all supported Pixel phones and tablets running Android 16. This update includes many major bug fixes, new AI features, customization options and system performance improvements. The biggest highlight this time is the new AI Notification Summary and Notification Organizer, which will show a short summary of long chats and messages and will automatically silence less important alerts.
Google said through a blog post that this new update is being released with firmware version BP4A.251205.006. This update fixes a number of visual issues, most notably the screen blink, freeze, or black screen issues experienced by the Pixel 10 series.
Apart from this, the problem related to 80% charge limit has also been fixed. Random pairing issues in Bluetooth have also been improved, making device connectivity more stable.
The smartest feature of this update is AI-generated Notification Summaries, which will be rolled out with Android 16 QPR2. This system will understand long messages, group chats and threads and show a simple summary, so that the user does not need to scroll through the entire chat.

The new Notification Organizer will now automatically silence unwanted notifications, such as promotions, news alerts or less important app notifications. Along with this, a new Dark Theme Mode has also been provided, which turns even those apps into dark theme, which do not yet officially support dark mode. This will also save battery.
Google has also done a lot of work on system performance. Memory management has been improved in this update, due to which the phone will run more smoothly. Picture-in-picture mode is also now more stable and smoother than before. Also, random issues related to camera and Wi-Fi have also been fixed, especially for Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series.
This update has started rolling out to all Pixel smartphones and tablets from Pixel 6 and onwards, including the recently launched Pixel 10 series.
