Crime News: Dalip Rana alias Khali made serious allegations against Paonta Sahib Tehsildar Rishabh Sharma on a land dispute related matter. He said that the land in question was legally registered in the name of a woman in 2005 and we acquired the ownership of the land from her after the legal process.
Nahan: A big news is coming out from Himachal Pradesh. Dalip Rana, known as The Great Khali, is in trouble in Surajpur of Paonta Sahib here. They say that some people have encroached on their land. Khali reached Nahan on Friday and met the Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur Priyanka Verma. During this, I told him everything and demanded fair action.
Dalip Rana alias Khali said that the administration should do a proper investigation and provide justice to the families living there. Some women were also present with him. All the complainants said that they are co-owners of 28-8 bighas of land and have been living there for the last five decades, but now suddenly pressure is being put on the families and attempts are being made to grab their land.
Allegation of forcible occupation of land
While talking to the media in Nahan, Khali made serious allegations against Paonta Sahib Tehsildar Rishabh Sharma on the matter related to land dispute. He said that the land in question was legally registered in the name of a woman in 2005 and we acquired the ownership of the land from her after the legal process. In 2013, my father Jwala Ram legally purchased this land from that woman and since then our family has owned this property. Despite having the papers, the Tehsildar, Kanungo and Patwari of Paonta Sahib are now misusing their official positions and in collusion with property dealers are trying to forcibly take possession of the land.
He further said that for the first time on May 20, 2025, some people tried to forcibly occupy the land. This attempt was foiled by villagers, women and complainants who reached the spot. It has been said in the complaint that this entire action was taken with the connivance of revenue officials. The second incident happened on 18 July 2025. The accused people again tried to enter the ground.
He also said that the land has been in his possession for years. Despite this, illegal methods are being adopted again and again. The concerned Tehsildar and some revenue officers are misusing their powers. Accusing Rishabh, he said that the Tehsildar should be investigated as to how many registries he does. The concerned Tehsildar and some revenue officers are misusing their powers. Some people are ignoring the rules to benefit themselves. We have all the necessary documents related to the land, which can be produced if needed. The most serious allegation is that revenue officials and private people have conspired together. If action is not taken in time, such efforts will continue in future also.
Tehsildar gave clarification
After Khali’s allegations, Tehsildar Paonta Sahib Rishabh Sharma said that all the allegations of The Great Khali regarding the land dispute are baseless and he has accused the Revenue Department of wrongly cutting the boundaries of his land and giving his land to someone else. This case was heard in the court of Naib Tehsildar Paonta Sahib, its decision was taken on March 25. Dalip Rana alias Great Khali has purchased land in Khata No. 8 in Surajpur. Around 38 bighas of land adjacent to it have been taken up (possession) on account number 6. On 23 November, a boundary wall was built on this land. Instead of making baseless allegations, it would have been better for The Great Khali to get his land marked or bring a copy of the stay in the civil court. Didn’t even come for mutation. Even now, get an investigation done in this matter by any revenue officer. This will turn milk into milk and water into water. It is not right to create pressure like this and make baseless allegations.
