Donald Trump News: Donald Trump has been awarded the Peace Prize by FIFA. Donald Trump was chosen as the winner of this award, which was started for the first time by FIFA. However, it is not certain on what basis his name was selected, however, there is a committee to select the Nobel Prize.
US President Donald Trump was awarded the Peace Prize. However, this was not the Nobel Peace Prize, which Trump himself has demanded on many occasions. On Friday, FIFA surprised the whole world by giving its first ‘FIFA Peace Prize- Football Unites the World’ award to Trump. FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with a golden trophy, medal and certificate at a grand ceremony held in Washington during FIFA’s 2026 World Cup draw. While giving the award to Trump, Infantino said, ‘This is your peace prize, sir. This is an honor for the work you have done for peace and unity in the world.
On the stage, Donald Trump wore a gold medal around his neck and held a golden trophy in his hand. Trump kept smiling and Infantino praised him, ‘We want a leader who cares about the people.’ While accepting the award, Trump said, ‘This is the biggest honor of my life.’ He also thanked his wife Melania Trump, Canada’s PM Mark Carney and Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum.
What did the FIFA Chief say?
Infantino praised Trump’s role in the Gaza ceasefire and said that Trump deserved the Nobel. FIFA has started this award for the first time. Trump became the winner of the World Peace Prize, started for the first time by FIFA. Many people are calling it a unique combination of football and politics, while some are calling it ‘an attempt to please Trump’. But, this was a big opportunity for Trump – if not the Nobel, he got the FIFA Peace Prize!

How different from the Nobel Peace Prize?
