Heavy forces are deployed everywhere, turning the city into a cantonment. Strict surveillance continues on the entry routes. No religious program will be allowed without permission and immediate action will be taken against violations.
In view of the anniversary of Babri demolition on 6 December, security arrangements have been made very strict in Ayodhya. Heavy forces have been deployed at every nook and corner. The entire city has been converted into a cantonment. Every visitor is being strictly monitored. The administration has given clear instructions that no religious ritual, program or event of any kind can be organized in the city without permission. Orders have been given to take immediate action against those who violate the rules, so that peace and communal harmony can be maintained.
To strengthen security, the number of rooftop duties has been increased in the city. Special policemen have been deployed on tall buildings in sensitive areas, who will keep a close watch on every activity. More than 1000 high-resolution CCTV cameras installed across the city are being monitored 24×7 from the control room. Apart from this, strict checking is going on at all the entry points and vehicles are being searched continuously.
Foot patrolling and patrolling have been increased manifold, while additional forces are deployed in important areas. Officials say that due to the increase in the number of devotees after the construction of Ramlala temple, it has become necessary to strengthen the security at many levels. The administration has a clear message that the safety of every devotee is paramount and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.
