Bikramganj SDM Prabhat Kumar said that burning stubble is against the law and the administration is taking strict steps to stop it. An FIR will be immediately registered against any farmer found burning stubble in his fields and legal action will be taken.

He also suggested the farmers to collect stubble from their fields and send it to the nearby CNG plant or Atkarsh Biofuel Establishment. This will reduce pollution and farmers will also get economic benefits. Prabhat Kumar requested all the farmers to collect the stubble instead of burning it and get it picked up through the administrative agency.

The administration has appealed to the farmers to adopt alternative measures like rotavator, happy seeder, mulcher and help in saving the environment. This step will not only control pollution in Rohtas but will also give farmers an opportunity to earn economic benefits from stubble.
