Taking Adusa decoction or juice increases appetite and makes the stomach feel light. It provides relief from digestive problems by reducing intestinal inflammation.

Adusa is considered an effective home remedy for cough and cold. Sherbet or tea made from its leaves soothes sore throat and helps in clearing blocked nose. The mucus expelling properties present in it keep the lungs clean. Adusa decoction can be helpful in providing immediate relief in case of cold or throat irritation.
The natural properties present in Adusa help in controlling blood sugar levels. Regular consumption of Adusa juice or leaf powder keeps the sugar level stable. It also helps in the production of insulin by improving the functioning of the pancreas. Diabetic patients can use it as an Ayurvedic treatment with the advice of a doctor.
If there is a wound or swelling in the mouth due to any infection, then the use of Adusa (Vasa) provides rapid relief. In case of mouth ulcers, chewing 2-3 leaves and sucking the juice is beneficial. Dental floss made of its wood also cures oral diseases. Mixing one spoon ocher and two spoons of honey in 50 ml decoction of Adusa and keeping it in the mouth helps in drying the wounds quickly.
Nowadays, due to stressful life, the problem of headache often persists. To get relief from headache, Adusa can be consumed instead of painkillers. Dry and grind its covered flowers. Eating 1-2 grams of flower powder mixed with equal amount of jaggery provides relief from headache.
