Its work has been completed up to 94% and it will be completely ready by June 2026. The minister also said that Rs 71,718 crore has been spent so far on the entire Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project. Meaning, it is on its way to becoming the most expensive and fastest highway in the country.
Tourism will get a boost
Nitin Gadkari ji had told in the month of November that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be made of 8 lanes and with this the journey from Delhi to Mumbai which currently takes 24 hours, will be completed in just 12 hours. The entire route was being examined very closely so that the driver gets a more safe, comfortable and hassle-free enjoyable journey. Also, the world’s newest and best technology is being used to keep the cost of this project under control.

Passengers will get this facility
Apart from this, a few days ago a new facility has been given to the passengers on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Helicopter service has been inaugurated in the rest area built at kilometer 125 of the expressway near the town named Pinan in Alwar district of Rajasthan. This service is being run by a company named “Book Your Helicopter” and its biggest advantage will be that if any road accident occurs, the injured can be immediately taken to the hospital by helicopter. This initiative will prove to save hundreds of precious lives every year on the busiest highways of the country.
