Today his small effort is giving him a permanent income of more than Rs 20 thousand every month. This story is about earning better profits with less capital.
Employment started from 20 thousand in 2020
Pupul Devi, a member of Khodavandpur Jeevika, tells Local 18 that in the year 2020, she became a member of Jeevika on the advice of CM Shabnam Praveen. After membership, he got a loan of Rs 20 thousand. With this amount he bought four goats and started goat rearing on a small scale. The beginning may have been small, but the intention was big. He gathered basic knowledge of animal husbandry and put all his hard work into the care of goats. Gradually his business took off. After some time, she again got assistance of Rs 10,000 from Jeevika under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana. Pupul Devi also invested this in her animal husbandry business. This increased the number of goats, improved food and vaccination, and opened the way for business expansion.
Earning more than Rs 20 thousand every month

Their earnings increase manifold during festivals. On occasions like Bakrid, Holi, 1 January, 14 January, the prices of Patha are higher than normal days. At such times, every book is sold in the market at a good price. On an average, she sells two to three books in a month, due to which her monthly income exceeds Rs 20 thousand.

Today Pupul Devi is among the few women of the village who have created huge employment with less capital. Their success is proof that if given the right direction, hard work and support from platforms like Jeevika, even common women can become financially strong and write a changed destiny for their family. BPM Manoj Karna continues to make efforts to ensure that other women also get such success. Because of which Jeevika Didi is making the most progress in the district. Local MLA Abhishek Anand also praises his struggle and hard work.
