Thousands of people are going through similar pain. The biggest problem is for those people who took membership by paying lakhs of rupees and then became agents and added many people under themselves. Not only did he lose his money, but the people he had connected are also now asking for their money from him.
Broken hopes of single mothers and families
Jaya Thapa tells that she is divorced and has two children. He needed a job, so he worked in this company. Whatever money was earned, it was reinvested. Jaya’s widowed mother even invested her pension capital to help him, which was completely lost. Her mother is a kidney patient, and Jaya tells that in the last one and a half year, they have neither been able to celebrate festivals nor been able to pay their children’s fees. Under compulsion, he returned the money to some people by selling the jewellery, but now more people are also asking for money.

Deepa Panwar says that most of the women involved in this chit fund scam are those who were doing it as a part-time job. He invested his years’ earnings in this company and also involved relatives and neighbors. When the money was lost, the same people started reaching home every day asking for money. Due to this, tension increased in the relations between neighbors and husband-wife also.

Anita tells that she has a one and a half year old child and her husband had an accident a year ago. At the same time, he and his relatives lost money in the company. The husband does some work, but running the house is difficult. Anita tells that she has to leave her small child at home and come to the protest so that the government listens to her plight and gets her money back.
Retired soldiers’ pension also sinks, old age security in danger
Mohan Singh Rawat tells that he has retired from the Indian Army. He invested his pension and savings in this chit fund. They allege that the swindlers ran the company’s branch using the government name. He invested Rs 25 lakh and also included many retired colleagues. Now everyone’s money has been lost.
BS Rawat says that he was told that this company is associated with the Agriculture Department of the Government of India. He demanded from the government that along with the investigation, his hard-earned money should also be returned, so that he does not spend his old age in debt.
