Putin India Visit: Before the India tour, Putin recalled the car journey with PM Modi in an interview given to a news channel. He called it a friendly moment. He said that it happened suddenly and both the leaders casually sat in the car. This journey in Tianjin once again proved to the world the warmth of India-Russia relations.
New Delhi: Just before his historic visit to India, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview given to a news channel, recalled the moment which had shown the world the most humane face of India-Russia friendship. This was the same moment when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin suddenly left in the same car during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference. The photographs and videos of this informal visit left behind all the formalities of global diplomacy at that time.
Putin casually said that they were just two friends in that car. There was no prior planning, no scheduled program, just a moment that seemed to combine the strategic partnership of the two countries with the warmth of personal relationships. This one line also made the world understand that the relationship between Modi and Putin is not limited to just formal meetings, but deep trust also exists at the personal level.
