How to make Paneer Cutlet
First of all, take 1 cup grated cheese in a big bowl. Add ¼ cup boiled and mashed potatoes to it. Now add salt as per taste and add 2 teaspoons finely chopped ginger, 1 finely chopped green chilli, 2 tablespoons chopped onion. After this, add yellow, red and green capsicum, about 1 tablespoon each. These three bell peppers add great color and mild sweet flavor to the cutlets.
After this, add 1 tablespoon chopped coriander, 1 teaspoon cumin, a little tomato ketchup and a few cheese cubes to this mixture. Adding cheese makes the cutlet even more creamy and tasty. Now mix everything well and prepare a soft dough like mixture.
Now make small cutlets or tikki shaped balls of this prepared mixture. Place dry breadcrumbs (about 3 tablespoons) in a plate and coat each cutlet thoroughly. This layer of breadcrumbs will give perfect crispiness to the cutlets when fried.
Heat oil in a kadhai or pan. Fry the cutlets on medium flame until they become golden brown on both sides. Do not fry them on very high flame, otherwise they will burn outside and remain raw inside.
Serve prepared paneer cutlets with hot tea, green chutney or tomato ketchup. This snack is perfect for breakfast, evening tea or any unexpected guest. Once you try making it at home, this recipe will be included in your family snack list forever.
