Rachel Varina and her husband thought it would be a different, emotional and adventurous experience if they took their families along on their honeymoon to Italy. At the time she thought it was amazing, but today, ten years later, Rachel shares her experience and warns others not to repeat the same mistake. Rachel tells that their honeymoon was falling during Christmas time and she did not want to give up her family traditions, especially celebrating festivals with family. This thought inspired him to combine honeymoon and family Christmas together.

For the first few days, only the husband and wife spent together in Rome, roaming around comfortably, eating and drinking, and enjoying the new journey, but after a few days their brothers and sisters arrived and then the whole family stayed together in the hotel. Rachel recalls that that part of the journey was really beautiful. Together they laughed, traveled and made many memories but now, looking back years later, she realizes that at that time she was not only afraid of missing Christmas, but was also afraid of the emotional challenge of leaving her old life and entering a new one.
