Jamshedpur. The Railway Department is going to take up the mega block between Rourkela and Kansbahal stations under Chakradharpur Railway Division between 5th to 16th December. According to Railways, this block will be taken every Tuesday and Saturday from 5:30 am. During this period, repair and technical improvement work of the railway line will be done with the help of TRT (track repairing) machines. Due to security reasons, the operation of many important trains had to be stopped during this time.
Some trains cancelled, some changed route
Railways informed that due to track repair work, six trains have been cancelled, while the route of some trains will be changed. Passengers may face problems due to changes in routes and cancellations of trains during the block. Railways has advised that passengers should check the status of their train before travelling, so that they do not face any problem.
These trains will remain canceled
The operation of train number 13288 Ara – Durg South Bihar Express will remain canceled on 5th and 12th December. This train passes through Tatanagar on normal days, but during block time its route has been changed via Kandra-Sini.
Similarly, train number 13287 Durg-Ara South Bihar Express will also remain canceled on 6th and 13th December.
Apart from this, the operation of train number 18125 and 18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express has also been canceled on 6th and 13th December.
Train numbers 18107 and 18108 Rourkela-Jagdalpur-Rourkela Express will remain canceled on 9th and 16th December.
Know the train status before planning
Passengers have to note that these trains running on canceled and changed routes pass through Chakradharpur railway division on the same day or a day later. In such a situation, crowding and waiting at the station may increase during block days. Railways has appealed that passengers should take special care of these changes while planning their journey to avoid unnecessary hassles.
Due to all these reasons, passengers may have to face the problem of delay, crowd and cancellation in rail traffic for the coming few days, but Railways says that this mega block is necessary to make the journey more safe and easy in future.
