Ingredients for making kebabs
Green gram – 1 cup (boiled)
Potatoes – 2 medium sized (boiled and mashed)
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Green Coriander – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Salt – as per taste
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Bread crumbs – ½ cup
Oil – for shallow frying
Method of preparation
prepare green gram
First of all wash and boil green gram. After boiling, mash it lightly so that the kebab gets a good texture.
prepare the mixture
Add mashed green gram and potatoes in a large vessel. Add onion, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and green coriander to it. Now add salt, red chili powder, garam masala and coriander powder and mix well.
shape into kebabs
Make small round or tikki shaped kebabs from the prepared mixture. Wrap them in bread crumbs so that the kebabs become crunchy.
Bake kebabs
Heat the pan and add light oil. Shallow fry the kebabs until golden and crisp on both sides.

Serve hot green gram kebab with green chutney or curd dip. If desired, sprinkle lemon juice on top.
