Lucknow. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gone ahead of the police and is running a big campaign to identify illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators in Lucknow. BJP Lucknow Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi has claimed that his party’s teams have so far identified more than 50 thousand illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi citizens in the capital.
Appeal to people not to help infiltrators
The BJP leader clearly said that the name of any ineligible or illegal migrant will not be allowed to be included in the voter list. Also, he has appealed to the city residents that no one should pay rent, provide jobs or provide any kind of help to such illegal infiltrators.
Campaign running within the ambit of law
Anand Dwivedi also said that this campaign of the party is being run completely peacefully and within the legal ambit. Its purpose is only to strengthen national security and prevent illegal infiltration. Due to this campaign, the stir in the political circles in Lucknow has intensified. While on one hand BJP is promoting it by linking it to national security, on the other hand opposition parties have called it an attempt at communal polarisation. At present, the administration has not yet given any official response on this claim.
