Gumla Picnic Spot: The beautiful Jolo river of Gumla district has become the first choice of tourists on New Year. The lush green forests, clear flowing water and peaceful atmosphere especially attract the people coming here. This place for picnic and sightseeing is located about 25 km from Gumla. Gumla: Although Gumla district is full of natural beauty, it is known for its greenery, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and religious-historical places, but in recent times, the Jolo river located here has become a special center of attraction for the people. This river is situated on the border of Gumla block and Basia block. The bridge built over the river and the forest spread around it makes it even more special. This is the reason why every year a huge crowd of picnickers is seen here during the New Year. Manoj, who had come for picnic, told that he had heard a lot about the beauty of this river. When we reached the spot, it turned out to be more beautiful than expected. He said that the peace and clean environment here feels very good. The river water is so clean that it is fun to take bath.
Rahul Sahu, who came to visit with his friends, told that picnic in Jolo river has a different fun. He said that the view of the forest, mountains and river here is amazing. It seems as if the real beauty of Jharkhand resides here. Rahul said that this place, away from the noise and crowd of the city, gives mental peace to the people, hence one feels like coming here again and again.
How to reach Jolo River?
Jolo River is about 25 kilometers from Gumla city. To reach here, take Gumla to Palkot road. From Tansera turn turn towards Kumhari-Basia road. Reach Jolo River via Kesipara, Gindera, Ambwa and Murkunda. Since this route is easy, it is quite easy to reach here.
