Bihar Assembly Session: A case of microphone malfunctioning during the Governor’s address came up in Bihar Assembly. Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar has taken a strict stance on this matter. After holding a review meeting, instructions have been given to take strictest action against the culprits. A report has been sought from the building construction department within 24 hours. The Chairman will hold a meeting with building construction officials tomorrow at 3 pm.
Patna: There was a technical glitch in the mic and sound system during Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s address in the Bihar Assembly on Wednesday. Because of this, the Governor’s voice could not reach the members and media persons properly. Due to which there was an uproar in the house. The mic malfunction lasted for about 10 minutes, although the Governor himself tried to convey the message to the members by raising his voice.
Assembly Speaker gave instructions for action
Taking this matter seriously, Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar directed to take immediate action. He has asked the Secretary of the Building Construction Department to submit the investigation report within 24 hours so that strict action can be taken against the culprits. The Chairman has also ordered a meeting with Secretary-in-charge Khyati Singh to fix the responsibility of the culprits. It has also been said that any deficiency in any arrangement related to the Assembly will not be tolerated.
Question on the weakness of the technical system
Chairman Prem Kumar said that the meeting will be held tomorrow at 3 pm with officials of the building construction department. In which they will discuss the reasons for the said problem and measures to avoid such problems in future. A technical glitch during the Governor’s address had created a situation of confusion. Due to which the opposition also complained of not being able to hear the voice. This incident raises questions on the weakness of the technical system of the Assembly. Especially in such an important session where the outline of government schemes and policies is being presented.
This was the third day in the winter session of Bihar Assembly. In which the Governor mentioned the various development programs and schemes of the government and expressed his commitment to create new employment for the people of Bihar. Meanwhile, due to microphone malfunction, there was disruption in news and live broadcast. Due to which it became difficult for the audience to listen properly.
