Delhi High Court News: 13 deaths occurred in the November 10 blast near Red Fort, Delhi. Delhi High Court has refused to hear the PIL filed to monitor the trial in the case. In the petition, a demand was made to form a court monitoring committee to monitor all stages of the trial.
Delhi News: The car blast case that took place on November 10 near the Red Fort of Delhi shook the entire country. 13 people died and dozens were injured. So far seven accused have been arrested in this case, but the trial of the case has not even started. Delhi High Court today reacted strongly and refused to hear the petition filed in this context.
Calling it ‘premature’, the court warned the petitioner not to waste the court’s time. In the petition filed by Advocate Raja Chaudhary, a demand was made to direct the court that during the trial, the daily action and monthly status report should be presented before the Judicial Committee. In the petition, it was described as an attack on the sovereignty of the country, national security and mental security of the people of Delhi.

It was also said in the petition that the families of the victims are completely in the dark. They do not know why their loved ones were killed and which forces carried out this attack. In such a situation, monitoring the entire process of the trial is very important. However, CJI Devendra Kumar Upadhyay rejected the petition saying that the trial has not even started yet.
Describing the petition as a good essay, he made it clear that it does not meet the standards of a writ petition, hence it cannot be accepted. The CJI told the petitioner to please not waste the court’s time. He also said that the High Court cannot order any kind of surveillance until the proceedings start in the trial court.
What is the matter?
This blast took place outside the Red Fort on 10 November. 13 people were killed and many were injured in this attack. The incident had raised concerns about security not only in the capital Delhi but also in the entire country. After this attack, security agencies were alerted and investigation into the matter was intensified. However, the families of the victims are still deprived of complete information about the tragedy and responsibilities caused by the blast.
In this case, on Tuesday, the Special NIA Court located at Patiala House had given permission to extend the custody of the main accused in the case, Aamir Rashid Ali, for seven more days. This court decision came when the accused was presented in the court after completion of his 10-day NIA remand. Aamir Rashid Ali was arrested on 16 November.
