New Delhi. Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has started till Eastern Peripheral. This is providing convenience to the drivers coming towards UP border and Baghpat. Now a driver can reach Akshardham from the border in 20 to 25 minutes. Along with this, a question is definitely arising in the minds of people that what toll will have to be paid by the drivers going from Akshardham to UP border, if the drivers have to pay then how much will they have to pay?
In this regard, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has made it clear that this expressway will be operated like the Delhi Meerut Expressway. That is, just as no toll has to be paid from Nizamuddin to Meerut Expressway to Lalkuan, but if a driver goes beyond this, he will have to pay toll till the point he goes from Nizamuddin.
How will the toll be charged?
According to NHAI officials, drivers traveling from Dehradun Expressway to Delhi Border, Mandola will not have to pay any toll, but those going beyond this will have to pay toll. However, NHAI officials say that until the entire expressway is not ready. Till then it is not right to talk about toll charges.
Why will toll be higher till Baghpat?
Toll rates are likely to be higher from Delhi to Baghpat EPA, because 90 percent of the expressway here is elevated. Which has cost more. The toll formula applies similarly, toll is collected on the basis of cost.
