Ghaziabad Air Pollution: Pollution in Delhi-NCR has again reached dangerous levels. Dust and fog remain in the air from morning to evening, making it difficult for people to go out. In such an environment, the Brave Hearts Society located in Rajnagar Extension, Ghaziabad has taken a step at its level, which the residents have described as relieving and effective.
For several days, the dust had increased so much in the area that a thick layer had started accumulating on balconies, vehicles and parks. Small children had to be stopped from playing outside and the morning and evening walks of the elderly had also stopped. In view of the continuously increasing problem, the AOA of the society held a meeting and decided that efforts should be made to clean the air ourselves.
After this the society started sprinkling water from the upper floors of the towers. For this, the fire system and pipeline were activated, so that the water could spread from the height to the entire complex. Keeping water saving in mind, only water treated from STP was used. At noon, spray was released simultaneously from all five towers, due to which the dust particles floating in the air started settling down within a few minutes.
According to residents, the impact of this move was immediately visible. The atmosphere inside the society felt cleaner than before. The ground of the parks and the leaves of the trees, which used to be covered with dust, are now clearly visible. Many people said that after a long time, children were allowed to play in the open air and the elderly also started walking again.
Society President Lavish Tyagi said that this initiative has been started keeping in mind the needs of the residents. He said that this is not a government scheme, but a collective decision taken by the society. At present, the water spray will be repeated every afternoon, so that people continue to get some respite from pollution. Besides, regular cleaning of trees, parks and open areas is also being done.
Female residents say that after spraying water, there has been a reduction in the burning sensation in the eyes and frequent cough of the children. He believes that if other nearby societies also adopt such steps, then the air of the entire area can become a little better.
Local people are also considering this initiative as a positive message. He says that the solution to big problems cannot be found just by expecting from the government, but even if the society itself comes forward and takes small steps, people can get great relief. This experiment of Brave Hearts Society seems to be a successful example of this thinking.
