In this context, the Superintendent of Police has given instructions to make people aware by doing Gandhigiri from December 1 to December 7. Recently, the Superintendent of Police had also released an audio clip regarding this. He said that the safety of people on the road is very important, that is why this campaign has been started.
Officials started distributing roses to the people
In this connection, a vehicle checking campaign was conducted by the district police at Kachari Chowk of the district headquarters. During this, the district administration team stopped the drivers violating traffic rules and instead of taking any punitive action, handed them roses and politely explained to them that traffic rules are not just a formality. During this time, District Transport Officer and Motor Vehicle Inspector were also present on the spot and they urged the people that risky behavior like without helmet, without seat belt and speeding puts not only their own but also the lives of others in danger.
