Gorakhpur Crime News: A heart-wrenching and sensational incident has come to light from Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here friendship turned into enmity due to an old dispute over money transactions. Yes… 17 year old Ambuj Mani Tripathi alias Rishu, living in Tiwaripur police station area, was brutally murdered by his three friends by slitting his throat with an axe. After the murder, the body was cut into pieces and taken to Maharajganj by car.
Two friends in custody, third accused absconding
The three accused threw the body of Abuj alias Rishu at different places so that it could not be identified. According to reports, the police recovered Ambuj’s head and torso from Maharajganj district late on Monday evening at the behest of the accused youth. Two accused are in custody and have confessed to the murder. At the same time, the third accused is still absconding, the search for whom is going on.
Ambuj had gone out with friends on the night of 26 November.
According to reports, Ambuj alias Rishu, 17-year-old son of Santosh Mani Tripathi, resident of Surya Vihar Colony of Tiwaripur police station area, had left home on the night of 26 November with his three friends to attend a Haldi ceremony in Chiluatal area. But he did not return home till late night. The family members did a lot of searching, but when no one was found, they filed a missing complaint.
Whole conspiracy exposed through surveillance and CCTV
With the help of surveillance, CCTV footage and mobile location, the police caught two friends of Ambuj. Both of them broke down during strict interrogation and confessed to the entire murder incident. During interrogation, the accused told that there was an old enmity regarding money transactions. That’s why he cut Ambuj’s throat with an axe. To prevent identification, the body was kept in a car and taken to Maharajganj and the head and torso were thrown at two different places.
Throw the head and torso 10 kilometers away
On the trail of the accused, the police recovered Ambuj’s head near Bhainsa-Pipra Khadar road of Bhitauli area. His torso was also found on the banks of Shyamdeurwa canal, about 10 kilometers away. The forensic department team collected evidence from both the places and Maharajganj police conducted the post-mortem of the body.
Due to fear of being caught in Gorakhpur, the dead body was taken to Maharajganj.
Investigation has revealed that the reason for the murder was a transaction dispute. The accused told the police that they were afraid that if the body was found in Gorakhpur, they would be caught immediately. Mobile locations of the accused were also found near the spot. Tiwaripur Police has increased the sections of murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy in the missing FIR. The search for the third accused is ongoing.
What did SP City say?
SP City Abhinav Tyagi said that the youth was murdered over a transaction dispute. Two youths have been detained and they are being interrogated. Continuous raids are being conducted in search of the third accused. Full disclosure will be made soon.
