Kanpur News: In an area of Kanpur, a constable of UP Police committed suicide by hanging himself at a government residence. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and forensic team reached the spot. The constable had also uploaded a suicide video on Instagram before committing suicide.
Kanpur: A UP Police constable posted at Panki Road outpost of Kalyanpur police station area of the district committed suicide by hanging himself at his official residence on Monday. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Maan Mahendra Singh, who was posted in Dial 112 unit. After receiving information from fellow policemen, Kalyanpur police station and forensic team reached the spot and after examining the room, took the body into custody. The cause of death has not been officially confirmed yet.
According to the information given by DCP West Dinesh Tripathi, when his colleagues called him for not reaching duty in the morning, no response was received. After this, they went to his residence and peeped through the window, where he was found hanging from the fan. The door was broken and he was brought down, but by then he had died. Immediately, after informing the higher officials, the forensic team was called.
Suicide video on Instagram account
After the incident, the police found a video on the constable’s Instagram account, in which he had written emotional things. In this, while mentioning his pain related to life, he had said, ‘The status will remain even after death, people will walk on foot and we will walk on four shoulders. When I die, I will not die smiling, I did not find happiness while I was alive. The post indicates that he was going through mental stress, although the police have not reached any conclusion yet.
Mathura: Constable’s wife lives in her in-laws’ house.
Police investigation revealed that the wife of the deceased constable had gone home. The constable had taken his room on rent and after taking the room, about ten days ago, his wife and children had also gone from Mathura to Kanpur to Mahendra. On Sunday, the wife and children returned to Mathura by night train.
According to reports, the constable had two sons, Tejas and Chhotu. However, the forensic team has collected evidence and now the investigation is going on whether it is a suicide or there is some conspiracy behind it. However, after watching the video on Instagram account, the police are leading this incident towards suicide.
