Bihar Vidhansabha Speaker List: Senior BJP MLA Dr. Prem Kumar has been unanimously elected Speaker of Bihar Assembly. With his selection, Bihar Assembly has got the 19th speaker. With the election of Prem Kumar as the President, this post has once again gone into the hands of a politician whose political experience is long and his parliamentary career is considered spotless.
Patna. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prem Kumar was elected Speaker of the 18th Bihar Assembly on Tuesday. Protem Speaker Narendra Narayan Yadav said that Prem Kumar was the only candidate for the post of Speaker, and he was declared elected unanimously by voice vote. Congratulating Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said that this is a positive sign for the Bihar Assembly, which will further strengthen the democratic process of the state. After independence in 1947, Premkumar is the 18th name to sit on the chair of the Assembly Speaker. However, even before this in 1937, Ramdayalu Singh was elected Speaker of Bihar Assembly. Let us tell you that Prem Kumar has been in active politics since 1990 and will now take the responsibility of running the assembly sessions smoothly and taking impartial decisions on the bills.

Know Prem Kumar
Dr. Prem Kumar is an experienced politician who has been elected MLA nine consecutive times since 1990. He has become MLA in the years 1995, 2000, 2005 (February and October), 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025. He has a special identity among the leaders of extremely backward classes. Prem Kumar, a PhD holder from Magadh University, was also the leader of the opposition party from 2015 to 2017. Let us tell you that Prem Kumar has also come into politics from JP movement like Lalu Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Sushil Modi, Ravi Shankar Prasaj. Has been minister of more than 10 departments in different periods. He has been a cabinet minister of different departments from 2005, 2010, 2017, 2020 and 2020 to 2024.
