Google has implemented new limits for free users of its Gemini 3 Pro AI model. Now people without subscription will be limited on the number of images and prompts in this latest AI model. This step was taken because the demand for Gemini 3 Pro has increased significantly compared to the previous version, Gemini 2.5 Pro. Google’s aim is to provide better access and experience to paid users.
Gemini 3 Pro is Google’s new multimodal AI model, which is capable of understanding text, images and video. It has better algorithms and smart features, which help in handling long and complex tasks. The new upgrades have significantly improved the experience in AI Search and Gemini mobile apps. Apart from this, the new Google Antigravity agentic platform helps in giving top results with vibe coding.
New limits for free users apply to Nano Banana Pro models and prompts. Now only 5 prompts can be sent per day and 3 images can be generated or edited from the free account.
How many photos does Nano Banana AI take in a day?
However, free users can still use the original Nano Banana AI model and create up to 100 images per day, but the free account will not have access to video generation tools.
Google believes that these changes will not harm free users, but will instead provide paid users with a better value and experience for their price. Free users can continue to use basic features and take advantage of the many benefits of AI models.
The point is that if you want to take full advantage of Gemini 3 Pro’s new multimodal features and video tools, then a paid subscription is the better option. But the free account is still better for small projects, image creation and basic AI experience.
