The traffic jam on the roads here will also end. This will save both money and time. According to the Road Transport Ministry, the entire expressway will be opened this month. All the cities of Western Uttar Pradesh will benefit from this.
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways 31 km of Delhi Dehradun Expressway. The elevated road has been opened for trial. It is from Eastern Peripheral (Baghpat) to Akshardham. After its commencement, the drivers going towards the border will get relief.

With the opening of the elevated road, lakhs of people from East and North-East Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad will no longer have to face scrutiny while going to Delhi Border, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Chandigarh or Uttarakhand. People of nearby cities will also benefit.

Currently, it takes an hour to reach the border from East Delhi, sometimes it takes more than that. But after starting the elevated road from the border, you can reach it in just half an hour, this way half an hour will be saved. Due to which home and office can be reached quickly.
How will the people of East Delhi get relief?
Till now, drivers going from Delhi, Chandigarh towards Delhi Border, Saharanpur and Haridwar used to pass through the inner roads of East Delhi. Traffic pressure increases especially in the morning and evening. Due to this, the jam persists till noon. At the same time, the traffic jam occurs again in the evening and continues till night. But now after the construction of the elevated road, the people here will get relief from the jam.
What steps were taken regarding the environment
Environment and safety have also been taken care of in this expressway. To provide relief to people living around the expressway from vehicle noise, high noise barriers have been installed on both sides. Apart from this, anti-glare boards have been installed on the median so that there is not much light at night.
A look at Delhi Dehradun Expressway
Delhi Dehradun Expressway is being built at a cost of Rs 12 thousand crores. The 6-lane expressway will start from Akshardham in Delhi and go to Dehradun via Shastri Park, Khajuri Khas, Mandola Baghpat, EPE interchange at Khekra, Shamli, Saharanpur. This expressway is being constructed in four parts. The construction work from Baghpat to Saharanpur is being done in two parts and from Akshardham to EPE Junction (Khekra) in two parts.
