After receiving bomb threat, emergency landing of Indigo flight going to Kuwait has been made at Mumbai airport.
Mumbai Airport: An Indigo Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Tuesday morning. According to airport officials, this flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted when the airline received a suspicious threatening message. It was written in the message that there was a bomb in the flight, after which the security protocol was immediately activated.
After the flight landed safely at Mumbai airport, it was sent directly to the isolation bay. CISSF, Bomb Disposal Squad and airport security teams have surrounded the plane and started a thorough investigation inside. The passengers are also being taken to a safe place and necessary inquiries are being made.
According to airport sources, the finding of any suspicious object has not been confirmed yet, but the security agencies are continuing the investigation as per the complete protocol. After the incident, the alert was increased at the airport for some time, although flight operations remain normal. Officials said an official statement on the situation will be issued only after the investigation is completed.
