Director Sumant Raturi says that my father used to cover the wars of 1962, 1965 and 1971. I came to know about Albert Ekka while reading old reports written by him. His story was so inspiring that I decided to make a film on it. This is not just a film, but a tribute to those brave soldiers whose bravery is known to very few people.

Who is Albert Ekka?
Albert Ekka was born on 27 December 1942 in Jari village of Gumla district. In 1962, he joined the Indian Army. He showed unparalleled bravery in the India-Pakistan war on 3 December 1971. Despite being injured, Ekka attacked many enemy positions, tore into enemy bunkers and faced machine guns. Saved the lives of many of his fellow soldiers by killing many Pakistani soldiers. For this bravery and sacrifice, after the war, the government posthumously honored him with Param Vir Chakra. The commencement of shooting of the film in his sacred land Jari village is a symbol of the fact that not only his bravery will be remembered, but the coming generations will know which martyr their land had given birth to.
