In this sequence, Japanese fruit called delimitation has become a new source of profit for the farmers. This orange colored fruit looks like tomato and is sold at good prices in the market.
Dehradun: Apple, mango, litchi and kiwi have always been cultivated in Uttarakhand, but now the production of foreign fruits has also started increasing here. One such Japanese fruit is called Kakau. It looks like a tomato, but its color is not red but orange. This fruit can become a better possibility for farmers for horticulture because it is sold in the market for Rs 300 to 400 per kg.

Taste and benefits of delimitation
The botanical name of Kaku is Diospyros kaki and it has anti-oxidant properties. This fruit is also helpful in removing stomach problems. This fruit, which is available in winter, is found in two types of varieties – astringent and non-astringent. Its price in the market ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 400 per kg, due to which it can prove to be profitable for the farmers.
