Muzaffarpur DIG IPS Jayantkant: DIG Jayantkant has got additional charge of Tirhut range. He has previously been Muzaffarpur SSP. Now the message has been given to take strict action against criminals and strengthen law and order. Presently he is the DIG of CID. Now in the absence of DIG Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, who had left for training, he has been handed over the command of Tirhut range.
Priyank Saurav/Muzaffarpur: Jayant Kant, known as the flamboyant link of Bihar Police, has now been assigned the additional DIG of Tirhut range. Presently he is the DIG of CID. Now in the absence of DIG Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, who had left for training, he has been handed over the command of Tirhut range. DIG Jayant Kant has given a strict message as soon as he took charge. The situation of law and order will be closely monitored. Those who commit crimes will not be spared under any circumstances. While talking to the media, he appealed to the people of the area to cooperate with the police.
Jayant Kant has previously served as SSP in Muzaffarpur district (2019–2023). During that time, due to his strict working style and swift action, there was fear against criminals in Muzaffarpur. He was known as a tough IPS. During his tenure, criminals used to tremble. Due to his image and experience, it is now expected to strengthen the security system in Tirhut range. Sentinel system, prevention of criminals, keeping a close eye on criminal gangs. DIG Jayant Kant has made it clear that no such activity will be tolerated which can disturb the peace of the area.
Appeal for cooperation with police
On this occasion, he also asked the citizens to immediately inform the police about any irregularity, crime or suspicious activity. He also said that police personnel will be deployed in every district of Tirhut range and every possible action will be ensured to maintain law and order. This change is also special because during the training of DIG Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, it was necessary to maintain stability in the Tirhut range. Now with the arrival of an experienced and strict officer in the form of Jayant Kant, people are hopeful that crime will be curbed, and criminals will not get relief but a strict reply.
