If you also want to make such a sweet at home this winter which is beneficial for taste as well as health, then we are going to tell you the recipe of Pratapgarh’s famous desi murabba, which you can easily prepare at home. As tasty as it is during cold days, it is equally beneficial for health.
Prepare marmalade like this
Hariom Rai, who runs the business of marmalade and pickles in Azamgarh district, has been making and selling marmalade for many years. While talking to the Local 18 team, he explained an easy way to make murabba at home. He said that apart from being excellent in taste, this sweet is also very useful for health.
Hariom Rai explains that to make murabba, large sized gooseberries of good quality are required. First of all, Amla has to be soaked in water. During this time, it is necessary to pierce the gooseberry with a steel or copper tip. Keep in mind – do not use iron at all.
Make syrup like this
The quality of murabba depends on the syrup. If you are making 5 kg Amla Murabba at home, then about 7 kg sugar will be required for it. Now boil the soaked gooseberry. While boiling, lemon juice or citric acid available in the market can be added to the water, this softens the Amla.
Boiled gooseberries are to be put in sugar syrup and kept soaked for three days. During this time, it is important to heat the syrup slightly in between, so that the juice of the syrup gets completely absorbed into the Indian gooseberry. After three days your Pratapgarh desi murabba is ready. Now you can taste this tasty and healthy murabba with your family and friends.
