In this encounter, the criminal Shikari Rai, accused of murder and robbery, was shot in the leg. He was seriously injured by the bullet. At the same time, a soldier also got injured in police retaliation. Both of them are undergoing treatment in Chapra Sadar Hospital.
According to the information, more than half a dozen criminal cases are registered against Shikari Rai including murder, robbery, extortion and a sensational murder that took place near the police line late on Sunday night. On Sunday night, the police had received information that Shikari Rai along with his associates was planning to commit some major crime near Bishanpur. On the basis of this information, on the instructions of SP Dr. Gaurav Mangla, a special team including Bishanpur police station started cordoning off the area.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning the police surrounded Shikari Rai in a village in Bisanpur area. On seeing the police, hunter Rai started firing taking advantage of the darkness. Where a soldier got shot in the leg during the firing. On the other hand, in the retaliatory firing by the police, Shikari Rai was shot in his right leg. Due to this he got seriously injured and fell down. Police have recovered a pistol, three live cartridges and two spent cartridges from the miscreant from the spot.
Injured criminal admitted to hospital
At the same time, the police admitted the injured hunter Rai and the policeman to Chapra Sadar Hospital. , where doctors have described his condition as serious. Police said that a reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on Shikari Rai. The SP said that the district police’s operation against the criminals is continuing. No criminal will be able to escape the law. The police are continuously raiding to search for other associates of Shikari Rai.
