There is news of relief for the farmers of Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. About 80 percent of the people of Lakhimpur Kheri district are still dependent on farming. Water is most required for farming. Due to the high price of diesel and non-availability of electricity on time, farmers are not able to water their crops on time, due to which crop production also falls. Farmers are getting huge subsidy on solar pumps available under Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana. Up to 60 percent subsidy is being given by the government on these solar pumps. With which farmers can irrigate their fields by installing solar systems in their fields.
Giving information, Deputy Director of Agriculture Lakhimpur Kheri Girish Chandra said that farmers who are interested can apply. The application process will continue till October 15. After that farmers will be selected through lottery. For which farmers can apply on https://agriculture.up.gov.in. To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers will have to register on the portal https://agriculture.up.gov.in/. Farmers will be selected on ‘first come first serve’ basis. For this, farmers will have to pay token money of Rs 5000 for online booking. After the booking is confirmed, the message will be sent to the farmer’s registration mobile number. Under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, farmers will be given three council rebates in interest from the Central and State Government on the amount of loan taken from the bank and deposited. How boring is it?
Boring of 4 inches is required for 2HP, 6 inches for 3 and 5HP, 8 inches for 7.5HP and 10HP. The farmer should have his own boring. After that verification will be done.
