Meerut: The Election Commission of India has provided a big relief to the BLOs as well as the general public regarding the SIR process. Till now, the last date for completing the SIR process was fixed till 4th December 2025, but in view of the present situation, the Election Commission of India has extended the last date till 11th December 2025, so that the SIR process can be completed in a better way. Keeping these things in view, a special conversation was held with the BLO on behalf of the team of Local-18.
This decision will provide relief
In a special conversation, BLO Narendra expressed his gratitude to the Election Commission of India for extending the date of SIR process. He said that the way the Election Commission of India has now issued guidelines to extend the date by one week, it is a good decision in the interest of everyone, because till now work was being done under pressure to complete the process as soon as possible. In such a situation, you will be able to work with 100 percent in this time period.
This is the biggest challenge
BLO Mahesh said that as soon as the forms were made available by the Election Commission of India while starting the SIR process,
All those forms were made available to the concerned people, but there are many people on whose behalf the forms have not been submitted yet. Whereas repeated rounds of his house are also being made. In such a situation, there was a lot of pressure regarding 4th December. Now the way this date has been extended, it will help a lot in completing the work within the stipulated period.
Everyone’s cooperation is necessary
BLO Ravi told that he is contacting people from door to door regarding the SIR process, but despite that, there are only a few people from whose side neither the gates are opened nor proper response is given. In such a situation, if everyone cooperates, it will be completed within the stipulated time period.
He told that there is not much problem in filling this form. Only the details of where the vote was cast on his behalf or on behalf of his family members in the year 2003 have to be filled in it. Let us tell you that if we talk about Meerut district, then administrative officers, public representatives and BLOs are continuously seen appealing to the general public to complete this process in time.
