SIR IN Moradabad: ‘Kept working day and night. Still, I am not able to achieve the target of SIR’… Writing this in a two-page suicide note, Sarvesh Singh, a BLO teacher in Moradabad district, committed suicide by hanging himself. In this suicide note written in the name of Basic Education Officer, the teacher has expressed his pain.
Sir in Moradabad: After Deoria, now in Moradabad district too, a teacher BLO engaged in Intensive Revision of Voter List (SIR) committed suicide by hanging himself. It is being told that the teacher was very upset due to his duty in SIR and not achieving the target, after which he committed suicide. Before committing suicide, he (the teacher) wrote a two-page suicide note addressed to the Basic Education Officer. In the suicide note, the teacher has mentioned being troubled by SIR.
This case is of Bahedi village of Bhojpur police station of Moradabad district. Village resident Sarvesh Singh (46) was a teacher in village Zahidpur Sikandarpur Composite School of Bhagatpur police station. Sarvesh Singh wrote his two-page suicide note, ‘Kept working day and night. Still not able to achieve the target of SIR. Day and night are spent in great difficulty and worry. I am able to sleep only for 2 to 3 hours. There are 4 daughters, 2 have been unwell for several days. Forgive me.’
This suicide of BLO teacher Sarvesh Singh is now going viral on social media. According to the information, he was made BLO on 7 October. At the same time, since the beginning of SIR in UP, 6 BLOs have lost their lives. In this, 3 committed suicide, while 2 died of heart attack and one due to brain hemorrhage.
