Lucknow Latest News: A 75 year old man was digitally arrested in Lucknow. The thugs trapped the old man by telling him that he was in collusion with the terrorists in the Pahalgam terror attack and that he had given them Rs 70 lakh. Let us know what is the whole matter.
Lucknow. A case has come to light from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which created a stir in the offices of many senior officials and made them lose their sleep. An old man living in Jankipuram here gets a call who calls him an accused of Pahalgam terror attack and puts him under digital arrest for 5 days. Not only this, the fraudsters cleverly got the old man to transfer not just a little but Rs 27 lakh to different bank accounts in 5 days. The name of the elderly person is Shankar Trivedi and his age is 77 years. He lives in Jankipuram area of Lucknow and the accused cheated the old man by pretending to be an officer of ATS and NIA.
This story begins on the afternoon of 7 November, when Ramshankar Trivedi was resting in his home when he received a WhatsApp call. The caller introduced himself as an officer of the Anti Terrorist Squad. In a harsh voice the swindler told Ramshankar Trivedi that you helped the terrorists worth Rs 70 crore. Due to which Rs 70 lakh has come to your account as commission. On Ram Shankar Trivedi’s refusal, a young man wearing uniform made a video call. Describing himself as an NIA officer, Ramshankar Trivedi was said to be involved in a terrorist conspiracy.
The victim was told that the entire amount in his bank account would be checked. The amount will be returned if everything is fine during investigation. The thugs threatened that if you did not do so, you would spend your old age in jail. The fraudsters gave two bank accounts to Ram Shankar Trivedi and asked him to deposit his entire amount in them. The victim deposited Rs 10 lakh on 10th November and Rs 17 lakh on 11th November through RTGS from those accounts. Ramshankar Trivedi became suspicious as the demand from thugs increased. After informing the family, an FIR was lodged. Lucknow Cyber Police is busy investigating the matter after registering an FIR.
