Painful death during forced abortion
This entire incident took place in Gupta Hospital located at Yadav Square in Nichlaul police station area. According to the information, the girl, resident of Kothibhar police station area, was seven months pregnant. It is being told that there was a love affair between the girl and the young man. After the girl became pregnant, her lover pressured her to have an abortion. The family members allege that the young man took the girl to Gupta Hospital in the name of investigation where the abortion procedure was done illegally. During the procedure the girl’s condition deteriorated and she died within a short time.
Question raised again on illegal clinic, operator absconding
After the incident, the hospital operator closed the clinic and ran away. Local people say that this hospital was operating without valid permission and questionable treatments were seen being carried out here many times in the past also. After the incident, the police have started preparations to seal the hospital.
Police took the girl’s body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to the district hospital. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report. Police say that the team of doctors will be able to confirm the exact cause of death after the report comes.
