Patna : Often, flight rates increase during big festivals like Diwali and Chhath Puja, but this time, even in December and January, air fares are becoming increasingly expensive. The situation is such that fares from Patna to hill station cities have more than doubled and seats are full in most of the flights. Not only this, the airfare from Patna to big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore has increased four times. Travel experts say that due to the wedding season in December, fares are skyrocketing. Whereas people are planning to travel in January, due to which the demand for tickets has increased further.
Rates became high due to wedding season
Due to marriages and dedication, the airfare from Patna to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities has increased four times. On 4th December i.e. today, the ticket from Patna to Delhi ranges from Rs 20,873 to Rs 72,285. There is dedication till 7th December. Today it ranges from Rs 9,723 to Rs 25,000. On normal days the fare for this route is around Rs 6000.
After December 7, prices seem to be normalizing. Same is the condition of many big cities including Mumbai and Bengaluru. The rent of these places has also increased by four to five times. Let us tell you that there are 16 aircraft between Patna-Delhi, 5 between Patna-Mumbai and 7 between Patna-Bengaluru.
Rates will remain high even on Christmas and New Year
On the occasion of Christmas and New Year, people are planning to visit hill stations. Due to this, there is a lot of demand for tickets on the routes going towards Goa, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. Andaman Nicobar, Rann of Kutch are also among the favorite destinations for winter holidays. Apart from this, packages to Manali, Dharamshala, Shimla, Mussoorie, Gangtok and Darjeeling are being booked.
The air fare from Patna to Kochi has doubled as compared to normal days. The fare from Patna to Kochi on December 4 ranges from Rs 19 thousand to Rs 50,870. After this, the ticket price is increasing every day. The fare from Patna to Dehradun has also increased significantly. More increase in prices is seen on weekends. Prices remain normal on normal days.
