The sudden death of JetBlue pilot Brian Wetzell, who lived in Wall Township, New Jersey, shocked both his family and doctors. But a year later, researchers revealed that Brian had a rare but dangerous red meat allergy called alpha-gal syndrome, which was caused by a spider bite.
