Narayanpur. Security forces have achieved great success in Naxal affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. 28 Naxalites of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee i.e. DKSZC area surrendered on Monday. All the cadres who surrendered were active in the interior areas of Abujhmad. According to police officials, search operations were continuously increased in the last few months. Due to the patrolling and pressure of the soldiers, many Naxalites were forced to come out of safe places. Officials say that the government’s ‘Puna Margame’ rehabilitation policy has also inspired Naxalites to come into the mainstream.
According to sources, the surrendered cadres were disappointed with the activities of the organization for a long time. Many Naxalites told in hushed voices that they did not want to continue the struggle due to increasing chaos and pressure in the organization. The pressure imposed by the security forces forced them to choose the safer option. Narayanpur Police said that these 28 Naxalites also include many Maoist militia members. Some of them were being kept under surveillance on the basis of suspicion of their involvement in several incidents. After surrender, everyone is being profiled.
