Revenge for 26 November: On 26 November, Pakistan carried out a terrorist attack in Mumbai and snatched away 166 lives. On the same 26th November, two such tragedies occurred in Pakistan, due to which the people there are still struggling with their pain.
Revenge for 26 November: As soon as the mention of November 26 comes, that dark night of terrorist attack flashes in the mind, when in 2008, 10 terrorists from Pakistan held Mumbai hostage for three days. 166 innocent people lost their lives in this terrorist attack. But, the surprising thing is that the date of 26th November makes Pakistan also cry tears of blood. November 26 brought two such big tragedies in the history of Pakistan, the pain of which is still felt by the people there.
A tragedy related to the two 26 November related tragedies occurred on 26 November 2011 at the Salala check post. There were two Pakistani posts named Volcano and Boulder on the Salala hills of Mohmand area on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. On 26 November 2011, at around 2.30 am, NATO helicopters and fighter planes attacked these posts. US-led NATO forces were conducting operations against the Afghan Taliban that night. NATO claimed that it had to respond to the firing from Pakistani posts.
24 Pakistani soldiers were killed and dozens were seriously injured in the attack. This attack was so fast that the radio system of the post was destroyed, due to which Pakistani soldiers could not even ask for help. This was NATO’s deadliest attack on Pakistani army till then. Pakistan kept fighting against this action, but the result remained the same. Noto may have taken this military action by mistake, but it was nature’s justice against the criminals of Pakistan, who had prepared the conspiracy of Mumbai attack in Pakistan.
156 Pakistanis lost their lives in one stroke
The second tragedy also happened on 26 November, which happened in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 156 Pakistani citizens lost their lives in this incident. All these Pakistani citizens were returning to Karachi on Pakistan International Airlines flight 740 after performing Haj. The 156 people on board PIA’s Boeing 707 included 145 passengers and 11 crew members. Just 21 minutes after takeoff, the passenger cabin of the plane was completely filled with smoke. The pilot tried to return to Jeddah, but he had lost control of the plane.
Pakistan suffered two major setbacks on November 26 itself.
In the last radio message, the pilot could only say ‘mayday-mayday’ and he lost contact with ATC. The plane crashed into rocky hills 48 kilometers away from Taif city. All 156 people on board the plane were killed. This was the third largest air accident on Saudi Arabian soil and also the third worst accident involving a Boeing 707. This is not only a coincidence, it is also a bitter truth that on the date of 26th November, Pakistan supported terrorists carried out a terrorist attack in Mumbai and snatched away 166 innocent people from us. On the same date, two major incidents took place in Pakistan and in both the incidents it suffered huge loss of life and property.
