Breaking News Today Live: The Delhi government has declared November 25 as a public holiday in the entire National Capital Region on the occasion of ‘Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day’. Earlier this day was notified only as a restricted holiday, but now the government has canceled the old order and included it in the category of full holiday. Under the new order, all government offices, departments, corporations, government schools, technical institutes and administrative buildings of Delhi will remain closed on November 25. Essential and emergency services have been kept apart from this. The holiday will be optional for private offices and business institutions, but it will be a mandatory public holiday for government employees. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, is known for his supreme sacrifice for the protection of religion and humanity. Due to the historical importance associated with his martyrdom in Delhi, many religious and social organizations had long demanded to declare this day as a public holiday. This decision of the government has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the tribute programs, city kirtan and sangats being held in the capital. There is a possibility of a large scale religious event in Delhi on 25th November.
On the other hand, the Center is going to bring a new bill regarding Chandigarh in the winter session of Parliament. There are preparations to bring Chandigarh under the ambit of Article 240. This decision of the Center has created a political turmoil in Punjab. Akali Dal has also come out against this proposal of the government. Akali Dal leader and former minister Daljit Cheema has strongly opposed the amendment bill being brought regarding Chandigarh. He said that Shiromani Akali Dal never expected that the Center would conspire to snatch Chandigarh from Punjab. Especially at a time when the country is celebrating 350 years of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. On this historic occasion, Punjab was hopeful that the Central Government would give something to Punjab, but the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill proposed in the upcoming Parliament session has surprised Punjabis.
On the other hand, central agencies have intensified the investigation in the Delhi Red Fort blast case. Meanwhile, two Kashmiri PhD students of IIT Kanpur have been reported missing under suspicious circumstances for the last 15 days. UP Police is busy investigating this matter. When the police interrogated the officials of the institute in this regard, they said that there was no information about the whereabouts of the students, but their sudden disappearance after the Red Fort explosion on November 10 has given rise to serious speculations. According to sources, ATS, Uttar Pradesh Police, local intelligence unit and other security agencies have reached IIT Kanpur and are engaged in the investigation. The agencies are examining the records of the students, investigating their movements and gathering information to ascertain the circumstances under which the two students went missing.

Breaking news live: The round of allegations and counter-allegations has intensified over the statement given by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani in a program regarding the Muslims of the country. Arshad Madani said in a program that in big cities like London or New York, Muslims can become mayors, whereas in India the same person cannot even become the Vice Chancellor of any university. BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain gave a strong reaction to this statement of Madani. Shahnawaz Hussain said on Sunday, ‘Maulana Arshad Madani’s statement is extremely irresponsible and condemnable. He has worked to defame India. In no other country in the world have minorities got as many rights as they have in India. For Indian Muslims, there is no better country than India, no better friend than Hindus and no better leader than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our country is running on the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
