Giving information about the matter, the owner of the house Malti Devi said that her son Shashikant Singh is currently working in Giddi of Ramgarh district. While his daughter-in-law is a teacher in a local private school. On Wednesday morning his daughter-in-law and children had gone to school. At the same time, at around 9 in the morning, Malti Devi was taking bath in the bathroom. Meanwhile, he heard some rattling sound from inside the house. Hearing the sound, she immediately came out of the bathroom and looked into all the rooms of the house. After this she also came out and looked around, but she did not see any suspicious person anywhere. Thinking that it might have been a normal voice. She closed the main door of the house and went to take bath again. During this time, he definitely saw the almirah kept in his room open, but he had no suspicion of theft.
The matter came to light during discussion over tea
Time passed and this incident did not remain in the notice of any member of the family. On Friday evening, Malti Devi was sitting and drinking tea with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Then during the conversation he mentioned the disturbing incident that took place on Wednesday morning. On hearing this, her daughter-in-law became suspicious and immediately went to her mother-in-law’s room and checked the almirah. During investigation, it was found that the locker of the almirah was broken and the bundle full of jewelery kept in it was missing. Malti Devi told that a gold chain, four rings, two pairs of gold bracelets and the daughter-in-law’s mangalsutra were kept in that bundle. The estimated value of the stolen jewelery is said to be around Rs five lakh.
Fear of a thief keeping an eye on the activities of the house
As soon as the theft was discovered, there was chaos in the family. He immediately informed the people nearby and his relatives about the incident. After this many people reached his house. The matter was informed to Tilaiya police station. After which the police team reached the spot and inspected the house. Prima facie the police suspect that the thief might have kept an eye on the activities in the house in advance and took advantage of the opportunity and committed the crime. The police have started searching for the suspects along with scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby.
