New Delhi. 11 km. The journey between Jodhpur-Ahmedabad and Delhi-Jaipur will be easier with the new railway line. The Central Government has taken another big step to strengthen the rail connectivity in Rajasthan. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has approved the Final Location Survey (FLS) for 11 km new rail line from Balotra to Pachpadra to strengthen the rail network in the western part of the state.
An amount of Rs 33 lakh has been sanctioned for this survey work. This proposed new railway line will connect Pachpadra with Balotra, Barmer and surrounding areas, which will make it easy to connect these areas directly to major cities like Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Jaipur.
According to the Railway Ministry, this new railway line will not only lead to social and economic development of the area, but will also provide more employment and business opportunities to the local people. Access to the refinery located at Pachpadra by rail from Balotra-Pachpadra route will be more accessible. This line will prove to be very useful for the transportation of raw materials and finished products related to the refinery, which will also promote industrial activities.
Apart from this, this rail line will also open new transportation options for agriculture, trade and local industries. Small businessmen and farmers will find it easier to send their products to other areas. Rail connectivity is also likely to boost regional tourism, because as rail travel becomes cheaper and better, tourist traffic to these areas will increase.
After completion of the final location survey, the further process will be started by the Railways. Based on that, Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared. After that this project will be sent for approval to the Railway Board. This proposed 11 kilometer new railway line will open a new path of development for the people of Rajasthan. With its construction, not only will travel between Jodhpur-Ahmedabad and Delhi-Jaipur become easier, but it will also give new impetus to industrial and economic activities in the region. This was a demand of the local people for a long time, which is now expected to be fulfilled.
