Greater Noida West News: Water crisis is at its peak in Eros Sampoornam Society of Greater Noida West. For about 2000 families, the authority has made arrangements for water supply only through water motor. Low pressure and irregular supply have worsened the situation so much that people are facing water shortage like in Bundelkhand. This problem is not getting resolved at the government level.
Greater Noida: The problem of water supply in Eros Sampoornam Society is becoming increasingly serious. On Tuesday night, the motor of the main government borewell providing water to the society suddenly broke down, due to which the supply was disrupted throughout the night and day. Thousands of people continued to face problems due to lack of water in the society. After several hours of hard work, the technical team repaired the motor at around 7 pm on Tuesday evening, but this is only a temporary relief. Due to the continuous running of the motor of this government pump, there is a problem of it breaking down again and again, due to which thousands of families are facing problems.
Navneet Juneja, a resident of the society, said that at present there is only one motor for the entire Eros Sampoornam Society, which is not sufficient as per the demand of the people. When the society was started, about 1100 to 1200 families lived here, but now the number has increased to 2000 families. Along with this, 6 new towers of the society are to be handed over in the coming months, in which 200–300 more families will be added. In such a situation, water consumption is increasing rapidly and there is excessive pressure on the sole motor.
This is why people are worried
Due to continuous running without stopping, the motor has heated up and broken down many times. This is the reason that one day or the other the water supply gets affected and people have to live without water for many days. Residents say that as water is very important for daily use, children’s needs and domestic work, frequent outages are putting families in great trouble.
A big crisis may arise
Local resident Dilip Kumar also expressed concern over the situation, saying that only one motor is supplying water to the entire society, due to which fluctuations increase and the motor gets overloaded and gets damaged. He said that this motor is falling short in front of the current demand and it can cause a big crisis any day.
Permanent solution should be done soon
The main demand of the residents is that at least one additional water connection or another motor system should be provided to the society by the authority, so that the existing motor can get rest and the supply remains continuous. He has requested the authorities to provide a permanent solution as soon as possible keeping in mind the increasing population and future requirements, so that water supply is not disrupted and families can get relief.
